I applied during Corona online on their website, didn't hear back so I went to their store 2 days later (dressed all professional) to ask about the status of my application, talked to the manager, got hired immediately, interview was very basic
What tips or advice would you give to someone interviewing at Chipotle Mexican Grill?
Don’t go for the job if you can NOT deal with much stress. The job is very simple but it can also be very annoying.
Tbh they fire me honestly over something that was discussed or spoken about. I work the one on Cropsey av for 5 months it was good in the beginning but around the Beginning of November i asked my manger for a forth day she first agrees then instead of her giving that forth day she took my third day off and had me working two days back to and they were only four hours then she doesn’t respect that i couldnt make it to work at 3 mind you i go to school and end class at 2:50 and it take 45 minutes to get there no matter how many Times i tell the manger that she still put me in for 3 instead of 4, the kitchen wasn’t sweet either she would complain about the little expect to have things do in 5 seconds and half the time does do anything, she does let you do your job with pointing out yelling at. Now keep in mind they have favoritism a lot of worker too on top of that. But yea then they tired to fired me because i called out on a sick saying how i never called the store phone keep in mind i also speak to the manger up on the phone because no one answer the store phone and then when i see she going to give me back my hours i was going to quit when i find a another job but instead i come to work finding out from a lead that i was being fired for “poor work performance keep in mind i been only working Sunday and Monday 4 hours each! The manger didn’t come work to tell me herself she had some else to do it for her and even her direct manger is taking her for her having everybody keep quiet i don’t like that so That’s why i left them
My interview was 5 minutes and pretty basic and was hired on the spot. I think it all depends on location but my interviewer was really nice and chill so it wasn’t hard. The questions were basic like “tell me about you” or “do you like chipotle” or “what’s your availability”...this is my first job so I’m proof anyone can work here. I’m excited!
How long does it take to get hired from start to finish at Chipotle Mexican Grill? What are the steps along the way?
I had an open interview last week and that same day, they called me & hired me.. Last week of being hired, i went in & did all my paperwork. Now starting tomorrow, it is my first day.
The pay sucks for what you have to go through. I have a skin condition which has only gotten 100x worse since working here and I don't make enough to afford medication and the medical insurance coverage isn't great. It's a lot of stress and for no good reason, there are plenty of better minimum wage jobs that are way less stressful and less mentally exhausting.
I'm still at my location, and probably will be until I find salaried work because I love my crew. Everyone from GM to crew are amazing people and they make work less horrible.
